John is an experienced producer, director, editor, and creator of motion graphics. He has an innate sense of composition and a keen ability to create dynamic moving images. John brings his sensitivity and respect to every project he works on, many of which address issues around mental health, substance use, and domestic violence. He is particularly drawn to creating programs that impact people’s lives.
John has produced two feature-length documentary films that have showed at festivals from Minneapolis to Perth, Australia.
John also performs locally as a singer/songwriter and can often be found playing music when not making videos.
Brooke is a talented and thorough copyeditor with a strong, varied background in film and television, video production and theater. She works closely with the creative team. Brooke possesses a formidable grammatical command and strong creative intuition. She will manage script revisions, proofread documents, and assist the creative team in the writing process.
Brooke is a highly organized and resourceful member of Blue Moon’s team. She is always willing to aid in multiple projects simultaneously and works diligently at whatever is thrown her way. Her attention to detail and keen industry knowledge are invaluable to every project.
Brooke is a true cinéaste so when she's not at Blue Moon, you may find her consuming films and analyzing their many delectable layers. Or perhaps dreaming in French, depending on the night.
As producer, Will ensures that the production runs smoothly and stays on budget. His extensive media background includes producing a wide range of projects, including corporate communications, media campaigns, documentaries and television spots.
Will is a gifted director of photography with an artful, cinematic eye. He is a versatile and talented video editor whose style is grounded in the classic form but continues to evolve with a contemporary edge. Will brings his passion to every project he works on and is especially drawn to stories that tap into the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit.
Besides being a passionate filmmaker and photographer, Will enjoys canoeing on the myriad of Minnesotan and Canadian lakes and tributaries.
Jeannie is a versatile and talented team player with a diverse background in media production and marketing. She is an insightful interviewer with a natural ability to connect with people. She creates an environment where the interviewee feels comfortable telling his or her story.
As producer, Jeannie is detail-oriented and manages any and all production challenges that come her way. As writer, Jeannie has an uncanny ability to sift through mountains of transcripts and distill the script down to the essential core with ease. As an award-winning poet, she brings a soulful, lyrical tone to her work.
When not at Blue Moon, Jeannie can be found hiking and exploring various terrains with her husband and her dog, Pearl. If there happens to be an outdoor concert nearby, so much the better!
Jeff has produced video programs and interactive media for over 25 years. Through his experience in all phases of media communications, he combines creative expertise with effective project management. Jeff brings sensitivity and compassion to all he does at Blue Moon. Building trusted working relationships is at the heart of Jeff’s work.
Jeff is also an accomplished composer and sound designer. In addition to his expansive audio engineering and music composition work for Blue Moon, he has created music scores for clients such as Target and Public Television.
During off-hours, you can often find Jeff on his bike pedaling around town. When he can get away for a few days in the summer, he likes paddling in the great north woods of Minnesota with his wife Mary.
