BROOKE HANSON

OFFICE MANAGER

Brooke is a multi-talented young woman with a pinch of mystery and suspense. She commands the Blue Moon office with style and grace. In addition to her daily office work, Brooke gets involved with many aspects of production from writing, to casting, to location production, and co-editing our newsletter Phases. She shares our enthusiasm for the programs we produce and their effect on people's lives.

Brooke is a recent graduate of Macalester College, where she pursued film analysis and history, cultural studies, and French. She helmed Macalester’s television studio and directed and produced her one-act play last Spring. Brooke is an aspiring novelist, short story writer and poet. Also, she has volunteered for the America Reads Program, Chrysalis Center for Women, and a student environmental group.

JOHN DEHN

WILL HOMMEYER

PRODUCER / DIRECTOR / DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY/EDITOR

Will is a co-founder and senior principal of Blue Moon. In addition to his business management responsibilities, he is producer, director, director of photography, and editor of film and video projects and serves as creative director for print and interactive multimedia.

He specializes in working with actors and creating programs that are rich in texture and content. Projects that synthesize photographic images and poetic elements to create a visceral story are among his passions. He has developed film/video programs, media campaigns, and interactive media on a wide range of topics such as sustainable agriculture, conservation, pesticide reduction, suburban sprawl, health care issues, drug & alcohol prevention, and affordable housing.

Will has been involved with over 50 documentary, educational and artistic initiatives that have taken him though out the USA (including many Indian Reservations), Canada, South America, Ireland, Germany, and Italy. He has also produced a number of film and video installations for museums and theaters.

JEFF SYLVESTRE

PRODUCER / COMPOSER / SALES DIRECTOR 

Jeff is a senior principal of Blue Moon and a Macintosh Specialist with more than twelve years experience developing A/V media programs. Jeff has produced and directed many video programs for regional and national organizations. He specializes in educational and health care related projects.

Through his broad base of experience in all phases of production, he combines creative expertise with effective project management. Jeff is head composer and audio director and has created many award-winning soundtracks for film/video/CD-ROM.

Jeff is a master pianist and has collaborated with musicians like Dean MaGraw, Tim O’Keefe and Ann Reed. He creates music for Blue Moon, as well as for outside producers. We often refer to Jeff as the best kept musical secret in town. (Shhhhh, we like having him all to ourselves.) And, in his spare time, Jeff is our sales director. He is the guy making the calls, setting up meetings, and brings it home.

LAURA GROSS

WRITER

Laura is not just another writer. There is no one like Laura. She can take a pile of transcripts and sift through them, establish a narrative track, and create a powerful and compelling script. And, if research is required, she's the best we know!!!

MERLE GREENE

WRITER 

Merle is a writer, copy editor, and educator who has over 20 years experience creating instructional materials and working on multicultural educational initiatives. She has written and edited material for Blue Moon in the areas of educational lesson plans, media campaigns, brochures, newsletters and interactive web site and CD-ROM.
