A four part, Farmer to Farmer series, The Rotary Hoe, Nitrogen Management, Cover Crops, and Controlled Grazing feature farmers throughout the state of Minnesota talking about different farming practices and methodologies that have improved their farming operation, soil quality, harvest yields, and quality of life. We see the farmers in the field looking at soybeans, rotary hoeing corn, repairing equipment, planting cover crops, establishing grazing paddocks as well as conversation from the kitchen and a small town cafe.

Close to the Ground:  A team approach to on-farm monitoring.

This video shows how farmers and resource professionals can join together to develop ways for farm families to monitor changes in their management practices. Monitoring is shown primarily in the context of management-intensive grazing operations. The video was developed through the work of a Monitoring Team, a 26-member group of farmers, agency staff, researchers, scientists, consultants, and nonprofit staff.
